Attorney Bobby Devadoss and the team at The Devadoss Law Firm, P.L.L.C. offer legal representation to clients facing complex and unique federal labor and employment law cases. The Devadoss Law Firm believes in standing up for what is right, and we will fight vigorously to defend our clients’ constitutional and civil rights.

This upcoming semester, the Dallas law firm is offering The Devadoss Law Firm Civil Rights Scholarship. Our award is worth $1000 and is available to current and aspiring law school students who appreciate the importance of civil rights in the workforce.

We are proud to provide future lawyers the opportunity to make their education more affordable and to inspire them to explore civil rights issues within the millennial workforce.

Criteria for Student Eligibility

To be considered for The Devadoss Law Firm Civil Rights Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Star Icon  Must be a current or aspiring law student
  • Star Icon  Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Star Icon  Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university within the United States as an undergraduate or graduate student
  • Star Icon  Must be at least 17 years of age

Application Instructions

Each applicant must submit the required materials in order to have their application reviewed by our scholarship team. All students are asked to provide proof of enrollment and their contact information.

Additionally, applications must include a submission in the format of a video (approximately 5 minutes or less) or an essay (1000 words or less) discussing the following questions:

Do millennials need to be better informed about how they can protect their rights in the workplace?

How can workers make sure they understand their rights and the ways they can protect themselves?

Choosing Our Winner

Our scholarship team spends substantial amounts of time and effort reviewing each application. While reviewing each application, we keep the following criteria in mind:

  • Star IconIs the video or essay submission creative, thoughtful, and well organized?
  • Star IconDoes the student meet all application requirements?

Spring 2026: Elektra Gea-Sereti

The Devadoss Law Firm has awarded Elektra Gea-Sereti with the $1,000 Civil Rights Scholarship for the Spring 2026 semester. Elektra is a college sophomore at Columbia University. At Columbia, Elektra is studying Human Rights and hopes to one day pursue a career in law.
